Oversight
The Pastoral Oversight and Legal Oversight is responsible is to counsel and steward the translation, copyright and publication of the AVB. Its aims are:
To safeguard the translation work and uphold the credibility of the translation
To make the AVB available to meet the needs of this generation
To guard the survivability of the God’s Word in Malay for future generations
Pastoral oversight
The Pastoral Oversight comprises senior pastors, founding senior pastors and former denominational head, and they provided prayer support and encouragement to the translators over the two decade-long effort.
Legal oversight
The Legal Oversight comprise a former denominational head. The Legal Oversight has helped to steer the path that AVB should take during the critical years before and after its publication.
Copyrights
The rights are currently being guarded by a well-diversified team, with a continuing mission to:
- Embrace the interest and special relationship with the original project leaders, authors, and translators.
- Extend the collaboration with like-minded scripture production teams and distributors across the Malay-speaking region.
- Undertake derivative works with a minimum of bureaucracy.
Moving forward, the Oversight seeks to safeguard of the copyrights of AVB for future generations through a national trust or foundation, with representation from the larger Christian community.
